General terms and conditions of participation for competitions

1. Scope

These general terms and conditions of participation apply to all competitions carried out by Meier Logistik GmbH (Zum Geisberg 5a, 66740 Saarlouis, Germany). They apply in addition to special conditions of participation, if and insofar as they are announced with the respective competition. By participating each participant acknowledges these terms and conditions and the separate conditions of participation and the deadlines for each competition.

2. Participation

1. Participation in the competition is free of charge.

2. Anyone who has reached the age of 18 at the time of participation may take part. Employees of Meier Logistik GmbH, affiliated companies and potential cooperation partners, as well as their relatives, are excluded from participation.

3. Participation in a competition is carried out by means of the terms of participation specified separately in each competition. Registrations that do not conform with these conditions of participation will be disqualified. The same applies to registrations of participants whose data has been or will be deleted as requested.

4. The deadline will be announced separately in each competition. If the deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the deadline is the last working day before the end of the participation period.

5. Multiple participation does not increase the chances of winning. Machine-generated applications are generally not considered.

3. Implementation and prize

1. The draw of the winner takes place after the closing date of the competition.

2. If there are several participants and / or several correct submissions, the lot will decide.

3. Participants drawn will be notified by phone, e-mail or in writing by post. Every participant notified in this way is obliged to inform Meier Logistik GmbH within 21 days after sending the notification whether he accepts the prize. If Meier Logistik GmbH does not receive such a message within this period, the possibility of accepting the prize shall be forfeited and Meier Logistik GmbH reserves the right to determine another participant by lot and to provide relevant notification. If Meier Logistik GmbH knows the address of a drawn participant, Meier Logistik GmbH reserves the right to send the prize directly with the notification. Each participant consents to the use of their specified data for the purpose of the prize notification. Please refer to the additional details under Note 6.

4. The prize is named separately in the respective competition. The prize presented in the competition is not necessarily identical with the object won. Deviations in the model, colour and equipment, etc. are possible.

5. A cash payment of the prize, a change or an exchange of the prize are excluded. The prize is not transferable. Meier Logistik GmbH reserves the right to publish the name of the winner. The winner hereby agrees to this.

4. Exclusion

1. Meier Logistik GmbH reserves the right to exclude participants from taking part in the competition if the following conditions are fulfilled: violations of the conditions of participation, if participants use manipulation or other dishonest aids or offend common decency. Meier Logistik GmbH can also subsequently state such an exclusion, derecognise prizes and reclaim them. 

5. Legal recourse is always excluded.

6. Data protection

For the competition to take place, Meier Logistik GmbH must know personal data of the participants, such as name and address. Personal data that is transmitted to Meier Logistik GmbH in the context of participation in a completion will be stored, processed and used by Meier Logistik GmbH and, if applicable, cooperating partners only for the implementation and processing of the competition. The data will not be passed on to third parties. The separate rules of the respective competition may have different and more extensive rules regarding the use of personal data. On request, Meier Logistik GmbH will provide each participant with information free of charge for all personal data that it has saved and will destroy it immediately on request. An informal message by e-mail is sufficient for this.

7. Liability

1. Meier Logistik GmbH assumes no liability for technical faults.

2. If individual provisions of the conditions of participation are invalid or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the other conditions of participation.
