When does a belt fit? What belt size do I need?
Even the most seasoned "The belt must always match the shoes" types or women who always wear belts to jeans are faced when buying with the question: what belt fits? Which belt length? And how can I determine my belt size? After all, different manufacturers also recommend different types of measurements and, not all result in the perfect fashion belt. - With the favourite belt method, you spread out the belt on a flat surface and measure the complete buckle and the belt to the middle belt hole with a tape measure.
- With the favourite jeans method, you put on the jeans, pull the tape through the belt loops of the pants and measure your hips. The two methods are explained in detail on each belt again and in a belt size chart you can simply read the appropriate belt length. Shorten your belt - is it that easy?
If you've gotten the wrong size or need to tighten your belt because of tumbling kilos, it's also possible to shorten the belt yourself, depending on the model. Pay attention to our product description! This shows whether the belt can be individually shortened or not (e.g. SURI FREY belt Romy Ronja). But how can I shorten my belt? Our belt buckles are attached to the leather with a screw. With these four steps you shorten your ladies belt:
- Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screw on the buckle.
- Use sharp scissors to cut the strap to the desired length.
- If necessary, add a new belt hole with a pair of punch pliers.
- Put the buckle back on the belt and turn the screw.
